Overview

The Internal Complaints Committee (ICC) is constituted by the University in accordance with the provisions of the Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal) Act, 2013 to ensure a safe, respectful, and inclusive working and learning environment for all members of the University community.

The Committee functions to prevent incidents of sexual harassment at the workplace and to provide a fair and confidential mechanism for the redressal of complaints related to sexual harassment involving employees, faculty members, and students.

Objectives

  • To ensure compliance with the provisions of the Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal) Act, 2013.
  • To ensure strict adherence to policies for the prevention, prohibition, and Redressal of sexual harassment within the University.
  • To provide a safe and supportive environment for all staff, faculty, and students.
  • To establish a confidential and fair Grievance Redressal mechanism for complaints related to sexual harassment.
  • To promote awareness, gender sensitivity, and respect in the workplace and academic environment.

Internal Compliance Committee

 

The Internal Compliance Committee (ICC) is constituted by the University to ensure that all institutional activities, policies, and administrative processes comply with applicable laws, statutory regulations, and guidelines issued by regulatory authorities. The Committee plays an important role in strengthening governance, transparency, and accountability within the University.

The Committee monitors compliance with regulations issued by authorities such as the University Grants Commission and other relevant government and statutory bodies, ensuring that the University operates in accordance with established legal and regulatory frameworks.

Objectives

  • To ensure institutional compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements.
  • To monitor adherence to University policies, rules, and administrative procedures.
  • To promote transparency, accountability, and good governance within the University.
  • To identify potential compliance risks and recommends corrective measures.

Functions and Responsibilities

The Committee performs the following functions:

  • Reviews compliance with statutory regulations, University policies, and government guidelines.
  • Ensures adherence to regulatory requirements of bodies such as the University Grants Commission and other relevant authorities.
  • Monitors institutional processes related to governance, administration, and finance.
  • Recommends corrective measures to address compliance gaps or regulatory issues.
  • Supports the University in maintaining proper documentation, reporting, and regulatory submissions.
